The Christian Doppler Forschungsgesellschaft (CDG) has appointed Prof. Christian Mitterer as a member of the Senate. One of the main objectives of the CDG is to promote joint application-oriented basic research between universities and companies. In this context, the Senate is the CDG's scientific advisory body that shapes the scientific framework of the funding programs, reviews applications for the establishment of CD Laboratories and evaluates their research progress. The Senate is composed of highly qualified individuals from science and industry. Following the passing of Prof. Buchmayr, the Montanuniversität of Leoben is now once again represented by two members in the CDG Senate, Prof. Mitterer and Prof. Schenk.
