New Cooperation with Hyderabad Central University

As part of the FocusIndia delegation, a group including Prof. Daniel Kiener, Dr. Michael Burtscher, MSc Srikanth Chaganti, Jasmin Egger BA, and MSc Reza Goldansaz visited Hyderabad Central University. They were honored guests at the inauguration of the new IDC building and its state-of-the-art machinery. During the subsequent HTCMC-2026 international workshop, the team presented their research and introduced Montanuniversität Leoben. A key outcome was the establishment of an international cooperation and exchange program between Prof. Daniel Kiener and Prof. Jaiprakash Gautam. Starting in summer 2026, this new initiative will allow three doctoral and twelve master’s students from Hyderabad Central University to study and conduct research at various Chairs of the Department Materials Science. At the opening event, the delegation engaged with these future exchange students, answering vital questions about academic life and living in Leoben. This partnership marks a significant step in strengthening global academic ties between the two institutions.
