On 04.04.2024, the 12th General Assembly of the Austrian Ceramic Society (AuCerS) took place at the Graz University of Technology. During the event, Dipl.-Ing. Abdullah Jabr was awarded the Best Paper Prize for his publication "Scaling up the cold sintering process of ceramics". The award-winning paper deals with technological aspects of large-scale production of ceramics at low temperatures below 300°C (typically above 1000°C) using an innovative sintering process. This significantly reduces energy consumption in ceramic manufacturing and enables the combination of ceramics with different materials. The submissions were evaluated by an international panel of judges.
